THE BUYER’S GUIDE

AnyShare vs DocSend.

A DocSend alternative for protected sharing and page analytics.

THE SHORT ANSWER

AnyShare by Anysoft is a DocSend alternative for teams that need protected links, data rooms, and page-level engagement analytics at one organization price. Choose it when those essentials cover your workflow. Consider DocSend when larger uploads or built-in e-signatures are requirements; its plan and seat costs vary.

02 / THE TEAM MATH

More people. One price.

AnyShare costs $20 per organization billed monthly, or $120 billed yearly ($10 per month equivalent). Adding teammates does not increase that price.

3 users$120$1,080

DocSend Standard: $30/user/month with annual billing. It does not include viewer email authentication. Advanced starts at $150/month billed annually ($1,800/year), including 3 users, with that feature. These plans have different capabilities; the table compares subscription costs, not identical packages. Check current DocSend pricing.

03 / CHOOSE FOR YOUR WORKFLOW

A good fit goes both ways.

Choose AnyShare when…

You share pitch decks, proposals, or client documents, want to organize them into rooms, and need to understand engagement. Everyone on your team needs access without another seat charge.

Your files fit the 100 MB limit, and protected sharing covers your needs. Passwords, expiry, email allowlists, and download controls are available alongside verified email access.

Consider DocSend when…

Large files or a signing workflow are central to your process. Check its plan details against your team size and the controls your recipients need.

AnyShare does not currently offer e-signatures, enterprise SSO, CRM integrations, or custom customer domains. If one of these is essential, confirm another provider’s exact tier and add-on costs before choosing.

04 / TRY IT WITH YOUR WORKFLOW

Test the fit before switching.

Use a non-confidential sample document and an inbox you control during the 7-day trial. Repeat the checks that matter to you in the exact DocSend plan you are considering; a price comparison alone does not establish feature parity.

  1. Check your file and preview. Upload a representative PDF, deck, or Office document within AnyShare’s 100 MB per-file limit. Wait for processing, then inspect every page before sharing.
  2. Try the recipient access checks. Create a link with email verification and an allowlist. In a private browser window, confirm that an allowed inbox can open it and a different address cannot. Follow the recipient walkthrough.
  3. Read the page activity. View several pages, close the viewer, and review the document’s engagement. Active page time and completion describe observed activity; they do not establish that someone understood the document or intends to buy.
  4. Replace the file and reuse the link. Upload a version under the existing document, wait for it to become ready and current, and open the original link in a new visit. Check that earlier sessions retain their original version. See the document replacement steps.
  5. Test a room’s access boundaries. Add two sample documents to a room and open its link as a recipient. In AnyShare, folders do not grant separate permissions: allowed room recipients can access the room’s documents. Use separate rooms for different audiences, following the investor data room guide.
  6. Compare the total cost for your team. Count the colleagues who need to manage content, confirm your billing term, and check required features in each provider’s plan. AnyShare includes all teammates for $20 monthly or $120 yearly per organization. External document recipients do not need a paid AnyShare seat.

05 / BEFORE YOU SWITCH

A few practical answers.

01Is AnyShare a DocSend alternative?

Yes, for protected document links, data rooms, and page-level engagement tracking. AnyShare by Anysoft offers those capabilities in one organization plan. It is not a replacement for every DocSend workflow; review the file limit and missing features above before switching.

02Do recipients need an AnyShare account?

No. Recipients open the shared link in their browser and complete the access checks you selected, such as email verification or a password. Your colleagues need accounts to manage documents in your organization.

03Can I move existing documents from DocSend?

You can upload your original supported files to AnyShare and create new sharing links. PDFs, Word documents, PowerPoint decks, spreadsheets, and supported OpenDocument files can be previewed, subject to the 100 MB per-file limit. AnyShare does not automatically import DocSend analytics or preserve DocSend URLs. Test your files and update the links you share.

04Can I test AnyShare before paying?

Yes. Your organization gets a 7-day trial without a credit card. Try a representative document, set the recipient access checks, and review the page analytics. Without a paid subscription, sharing and new uploads pause when the trial ends. Paid plans renew automatically until canceled.
