SHARED, WITH BOUNDARIES

Share documents.
Control who opens them.

Recipients can view your documents without creating an AnyShare account. Choose verified email, allowed addresses, passwords, and expiry dates to control access to each link.

Know who gets in.

Verified email is the default for new links. Require an email allowlist or add a password for another access check.

Private by design.

Documents are stored in private storage. Files are served through access checks. Organization membership controls team access, with documents and analytics shared only within the active organization.

Stay in the picture.

Set link expiry dates or revoke a link when the conversation ends. Restore access if you decide to pick it up again.

YOU SET THE TERMS

Small controls.
Meaningful
boundaries.

Audience controls

Use email capture, email verification, and an explicit email allowlist. Verification checks that a recipient can access an email address; an unverified captured email is labeled accordingly.

Passwords and expiry

Add a password, choose an expiry, or revoke a link. Each share link can have its own access settings, so different audiences can have different boundaries.

Downloads and watermarks

Choose whether downloads are available and add a viewer watermark to displayed pages. You can also require a confidentiality acknowledgement before access.

Transparent engagement

Viewer activity includes page visits and foreground engagement timing. Hidden tabs and idle viewers pause the timer. Our privacy notice explains what is recorded and shared with the document owner.

THE RECIPIENT’S VIEW

Verify an email.
Open the document.

How a recipient opens a verified-email link

  1. Open the shared link in a browser. No AnyShare account is needed to view it. The sender’s colleagues use accounts to manage the organization’s content.
  2. Enter the intended email address. If the sender set a password or a confidentiality acknowledgement, complete those checks too. An email allowlist, when enabled, restricts which addresses can continue.
  3. Choose Send verification code. Retrieve the one-time code from that inbox. The code expires after ten minutes; request another if it expires.
  4. Enter the code and choose Verify & open. After the access checks pass, the document opens. A returning visitor with a valid viewing session may not need to repeat verification.

Verification and an allowlist do different jobs

Verification checks access to an inbox; it does not prove legal identity or limit viewing to your intended recipients by itself. Add an email allowlist when only specific addresses should open a forwarded link. Test with an allowed and a disallowed address before sending confidential material.

Check which documents a room link exposes

Folders organize files; they do not create separate permissions. An allowed recipient of a room link can access the documents in that room. Use separate rooms for audiences that need different files.
